Family carers, people who work in the third sector and those work in health and social care are all invited to attend an event in the Volunteer Hall in Galashiels on 7th November.
It’s being organised by The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (ALLIANCE) in partnership with Borders Care Voice, the Borders Carers Centre, the Coalition of Carers in Scotland, the Carers Trust Scotland as well as a number of carers from the area.
The event will provide:
- an insight into carers’ experiences of health and social care integration
- an insight into carers’ experiences of the Carers Act
- a platform for attendees to share their own views on the support that is available to carers, as well as gaps in services
- an opportunity for people with both lived and professional experience to connect with one another and share their different perspectives.
This will allow the ALLIANCE’s Integration Support team to assess integration’s impact locally and the extent to which organisations are working together to deliver both health and social care integration and the Carers Act. We will then be able to raise awareness of these experiences, which will be summarised in a report and promoted through our networks
You may be interested in this event if you are:
- in a caring role
- working in the health and social care sector
- working in the third sector.
