Silver Sunday on 7th October is an annual celebration held throughout the UK for older adults. It celebrates the value and knowledge older adults contribute to their local communities, as well as helping to address loneliness and isolation amongst the older population.
It will be celebrated in the Borders at the Volunteer Hall in Duns, with a full day of free, fun activities to celebrate older people and community life, including music, song, poetry and movement.
The day will start at 10.30am with lunch served at 12.30pm and tea at 3pm – so go along when you can. Lunch is free but booking is essential – tickets from Nairn’s in Duns.
